Frustration!
2Thessalonians 3:5 And may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patience of Christ.
Frustration! I don’t even like the sound of the word, much less the feeling. Webster’s defines it as a deep chronic sense or state of insecurity and dissatisfaction arising from unresolved problems or unfulfilled needs.
Have you ever been so frustrated that you could just burst? Well as the mother of 3 (now grown) children, I can tell you that I have had my share of frustrations and then some. Thank God they have all three grown into fine young adults and I am so very proud of each of them.
I am sure that God gets frustrated with us at times, just like any father would. We are not always obedient children and we often do things that are a disappointment to Him. But God is so very patient! No matter how long it takes or what we do in the process, He is there waiting for us to come to Him. And you know what, He just does not give up on us.
We need to learn patience from the examples of God and Jesus. Frustration goes down as patience goes up. It is amazing how nice it is to live without frustration in our lives.
Father, Please forgive us when we frustrate and disappoint You. We humbly Thank You for Your patience, Your unconditional love and for never giving up on us. In Jesus’ name. Amen
