God Created Us For His Purpose

Job 12:10 It is God who directs the lives of his creatures; everyone's life is in his power.

Do you ever wonder what you were created for? Why God put you on this earth? I have too, but I also felt that what ever it was God wanted me to do, I was not good enough to do it because of the many sins that I had committed during my life. There was no way that God would use someone as vile as me. I have broken many of the Ten Commandments… have you?

It does not matter what we have done in our past, no sin is too big for Christ to cover and God can still use us. It’s true, look at David, he committed adultery and murder, but he was forgiven. Rahab was a prostitute but she hid the men that Joshua sent to spy in Jericho and then she and her family were saved when everyone else was destroyed. Samson was a longhaired womanizer and Isaiah walked around naked, preaching for three years. God used all of them, He loved and blessed them.

So see – nothing is so bad that God can not forgive. He loves us and wants to use us to share His word with all that we meet.

Father, We come to You with humble hearts, asking for forgiveness and Your guidance to Your will for our lives. Please use us in whatever way You will. In Jesus’ name. Amen
