Jesus is God's Light To The World

John 8:12 Then Jesus spoke again to them, saying, I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

This morning I was watering the flowers that my brother got our mom for Mother’s Day and I noticed how they were all leaning to the window > to the sun. It made me think about how so like us, they turn their faces to the light of life. Jesus Christ is God's Son and our life light. We always need to turn our face to His Light. See > even the flowers know this!

Psalms 80:7 Turn us again, Oh God of Hosts, and cause thy face to shine, and we will be saved.

When we turn our face and put God first in our life, things go like they are supposed to go. It is like when you are packing something into a box that is just the right size > if you don’t get the first item in the right way, it won’t all fit. But if you start out putting the first one in right > the rest fall into place.

Father, please forgive us when we stray away from You and You are not first in our lives. Draw us back to Your presence and Your love, again and again. In Jesus’ name. Amen
