More WWJD
WWJD? I mean, think about it > if Jesus was living here in America at this time, what would He do? I am sure that above all, He would be appalled at the state of our country. This great country of ours was founded on the right to govern ourselves and to worship The Lord God Almighty. Now a lot of people say we “offend” them if we have/or do anything of religious nature in public. The Constitution of the United States guarantees:
Freedom Of Religion NOT Freedom From Religion.
In many historic buildings that you visit, you will find a reference to God as well as freedom built into the walls or foundation. Now we are being told that this offends a few people and we as Christians are not to publicly show our love of God in any form or fashion. What do you think Jesus would do in this situation? He would stand up for His Father and He would not let the devil have his way.
Remember what He did in the temple?
Matthew 21:12-13 And Jesus went into the temple of God and cast out all those who sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money-changers, and the seats of those who sold doves. And He said to them, It is written, "My house shall be called the house of prayer"; but you have made it a den of thieves. Should we not do the same?
My brother is a retired Navy Chief and he spent over 21 years of his life defending our freedoms. I am very proud of him, but even more, I am thankful of his service to our country and our God. Many like him before and those serving now (including his son - my nephew) deserve our deepest appreciation and respect. OK OK, I’m off of my soap box now…maybe. But - if you would like to help our young men and women serving their country, check out
Soldiers' Angels
, it is a great site.
Father, please bless our country and be with those serving in the military. Father give us the courage and strength to do what Jesus would do and stand up for what is right, to stand up for You and Your Kingdom that is to come. In Jesus’ name. Amen
