What A Friend We Have In Jesus
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today and forever.
I don’t know about you, but this Bible verse makes me feel secure and happy. It shows me that Jesus in my friend and will be there for me, just as He was yesterday, is today and always will be - for all of the tomorrows - through eternity.
We change so much as we grow older. I am such a different person then I was 5 years ago and even more so than I was just 1 year ago. Change can be a good thing. Are you different then you were before. Have you become more like the person you think you should be? Have you grown in your walk with Jesus?
It makes me think about that beautiful old hymn:
What a friend we have in Jesus
All our sins and griefs He’ll bare
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer
Father, We are so deeply thankful for the wonderful friend which You have given us in Your Son Jesus Christ. And we are especially thankful that His friendship is unconditional. You have blessed us beyond anything we deserve. In Jesus’ name. Amen
